Hogland Family Brett D Hogland - Senior Pastor

With me it is really quite simple - everything is about Jesus! While I use creative and relevant means to present truth, it all really comes down to Jesus Christ being offered to hurting hearts and hopeless lives. I live to preach and love to serve. Having served in various roles, such as youth pastor, children's pastor, guest speaker, and senior pastor, I have found my greatest service as that of husband to Wendy and dad to my five year old son, Drake. When I am not working I can be found reading, watching Bama Football, getting beat up by Drake, or writing things I hope someone will one day read.

What drives me in ministry is the opportunity to help others become quality contributors in their own ministry roles. Things that bring joy to my heart include: seeing people who have been hurt - finding relief and watching them begin to grow in God's grace, seeing others using their own gifts in their own ministry, nurturing people to become worshipers of God through their own personal worship, to be involved in a church that is doing things that are "out-of-the-norm" with great excellence to further the Kingdom of God and to be in a relevant ministry situation that maximizes my gift and calling!

When I am not working I can be found spending time with:

  1. My lovely wife Deb
  2. Our son Jonathan (his wife Leslie and their 3 children, Alex, Seth & Leah)
  3. Our daughter Tiffany (her husband Jerry and their 2 children, Chad & Danielle)
  4. Our daughter Leslie and her son Aden
  5. Our daughter Rebecca
  6. Our daughter Traci (her husband Oscar & their daughter Shelbi)

I also enjoy watching and following Kentucky Basketball & Football (go Big Blue - Widcats #1).
